I found a solution to the problem I had earlier. In fact, it’s a little embarrassing that I didn’t think of it earlier. My problem earlier was this: I wanted to drop off luggage while my flight had layover in Tokyo, but I later found out that there was no way of getting checked luggage off of the airline system until I had reached my destination. Well, clever as I am, I figured out a way around this: bring what I want to drop off in Tokyo with me as a carry-on, and check into airplane storage what I want to carry around with me in Thailand. Therefore, new plan: Check a backpack, carry-on a suitcase with Japan-only stuff. My mother always told me I was smart, but I didn’t realize it until just now. Now all I have to do is finish out the work-week (Friday is my last day, sadly), and figure out what to pack for Japan-only and what to pack for out-and-about in Thailand. This exciting list will be up for another post, coming soon to a blog near you.
